Welcome to the Austin Christian Church

We are a family of believers committed to following our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are striving to build a fellowship that extends beyond social, racial and generational lines. God has blessed us with a dynamic campus ministry at the University of Texas, Texas State University and Austin Community College. "It takes a village to raise a child," and to that end the families in our congregation are committed to providing a dynamic learning environment for our children as they are raised in the Lord. An exciting children's program, preteen, junior high and high school groups are all an important part of our ministry. We are a loving, tight knit fellowship and are always excited to welcome new members to our family. We have many hopes, dreams and aspirations of what God can do through us individually and collectively as a fellowship. We invite you to join us!

Butterfield's to Tulsa!

As must of you are now aware, Arlee and Maggie Butterfield will be moving up to Tulsa, Oklahoma at the end of the month to lead the church there. We are very grateful for the 3 years of service the Butterfields have given to the church here in Austin and in particular, to our campus ministry. We want to send the Butterfields off with our love. There will be a going-away party for the
Butterfields on Sunday afternoon, May 20th at 6:00 p.m. The location will be announced next week but please mark your calendars! Also, please be praying for this new chapter in the Butterfield’s lives and be praying that we can find the right people to take their place!

 

Special Missions Contribution


So far, we have collected $47,593.50 for missions! As a reminder, if you have not yet contributed for our 2012 missions, please do so as soon as possible. Let’s continue to pray and do all we can to reach our goal of $80,000 for Tel Aviv, the Caucus region, College Station and our very own internship program. Thank you to all that have already sacrificed so much!

 

New Baby!

Congratulations to Jay and Fiorela Thibodeaux on the birth of their daughter, Ylia Mae Thibodeaux! Ylia Mae weighed in at 6lbs 10oz and was 19 1/2" long. Mom and baby are doing well!
