Haitian Disciples Serving Others On Site Of Collapsed Church Building

Haitian DisasterWith the death toll rising and bodies stacking in the streets, Haitian disciples are serving and sharing what they have with others on the site of their collapsed church building. Here is an update from Stanley Dumornay who is trying to find a way to Haiti to help.

For the last hour I have been emailing back and forth with a brother in Haiti, named Rodely. Here is what he has been able to relay to me:

Tallinn disciples celebrating a baptismAs most of you are now aware, we have several of our students, along with students from other campus ministries in the midwest, spending the fall semester in the Baltic countries of Latvia and Estonia for the purpose of strengthening those churches and helping them reestablish campus ministries. The work has been a great test of faith for our students as the Baltics tend to be a very atheistic place.

Listed as a basic human right in the Declaration of Independence, we are certainly all grateful for the freedom we share to take up such a pursuit. However, capturing true happiness can be a difficult pursuit indeed. Life issues, relationship problems, economic hardships and other challenges work to steal away our happiness.
